• Black Hawk and Central City, just 15 minutes from the Ashley, are two of Colorado's premier gambling towns--historic ghost towns filled with casinos.
  
• The best downhill and cross-country skiing in the country is just up the road about 30 miles .
  
• Biking, hiking, golf, and horseback riding are all available in the area
  
• Peace and quiet are always available right here at the Ashley

Winter is trying to settle in, but the warm days are very consistent this year. The sun shines almost every day, proving that it is a joy to be in Colorado. Winter is a great time to take in the mountains, to go skiing, snowboarding, shopping, ice skating, or just soaking up the beauty of the Colorado mountains. Central City and Blackhawk casinos are doing better than ever, and with new construction they now have good restaurants in most of the bigger casinos. The Denver concert and theater scene is booking for a great winter, with all the big names coming through at least once in the season.
